While no method of treatment is 100% guaranteed, some of them can definitely help most individuals. Here are some body acne treatment tips that you can do on your own from home:
* Body acne is often the result of irritation from clothing mixed with perspiration. When your body perspires, the sweat gets into your pores. When you do not take a shower to remove it, it can worsen to a very bad level. If there is constant irritation from your clothing, this can make it even worse. To remedy this situation, make sure that after a workout or other intense workload that you properly bathe and wash areas that are likely to be effected (the back and the chest).

* Body acne treatment options that work for the face often work for other areas of the body as well. For example, if you have purchased pads that contain a certain acid or alcohol on them to use on your acne that happens on your face, you can benefit from this for other areas as well. Acne in all areas of the body is basically the same. So, it can all be treated somewhat the same way.

* One of the most effective treatments for acne at home is exfoliating. You can purchase the right type of brush, manual or mechanical, and use it on virtually every area of the body. By removing the dead skin cells of the body, you can help to prevent acne from occurring or help it to go away.At other times, body acne treatment may not work. You may need to seek out the help of a professional. Hormonal imbalances and even stress can cause acne and may keep you from treating it. When these body acne treatment options do not work, seek out more advanced solutions through your doctor.

Skin Care Advice At Any Age

We've become a society obsessed with our looks.

It's been noted that we spend more on beauty products in the west than we do on education. Why are we so obsessed? Because it's easier and more affordable than ever before.Anti-aging skincare technology has progressed leaps and bounds. We know more about the skin today than we ever did. There are advanced skincare products that can erase years, and of course, the plastic surgeon has perfected his trade such that procedures are easier and cheaper than ever before.

Are we justified in our obsession?
They say that beauty is only skin deep, and while I believe this to be true it's also important to do what feels right for you. If keeping up appearances gets you through the day then, by all means, that's what you need to do, however I must add that I'm not a fan of going under the knife. With the huge advances made in skincare products today, I'd much prefer taking the less invasive route. Here's a few age related tips and remedies that will help boost your skin's appearance at any age without needles and knives.

20 Something
Your skin is at its peak of beauty in your twenties, however nurture its beauty and always use at least an SPF 30 sunscreen. Of course this should continue at any age.Avoid oily makeup and coverups. Use an oil free moisturizer every day. This is also a good time to begin using an eye cream under the eye area at night.Try using products that contain green tea which have shown to help reduce the risk of skin cancer.

30 Something
Your 30's is when your skin is beginning to become a bit drier and sun damage may begin to appear. It's time to start using thicker moisturizing creams so as to lock in high contents of moisture. Continue with eye creams at night and use your sunscreen religiously. Also, skin bleaching products may need to be used to diminish dark spots from sun damage. Hint: Put your moisturizer on over damp skin. This helps lock in more moisture.

40 Something
It's time to kick it up another notch. Your forties is when your skin loses much of it tightness. It may begin to look dull and your pores may become larger. Blotches, freckles, age spots, discoloration, and changes in skin color may become much more visible. Retinoids, anti-oxidants and alpha hydroxy acids can improve the look of your skin and your 40's would be a good time to begin using them. Of course it's essential that you continue using a thick moisturizer and eye serums on a daily basis.Home microdermabrasion kits are also an option that can result in a smoother more even appearing skin texture and tone while rejuvenating your skin's texture and color.

50 Something
Changes in your skin have reached high gear. Menopause has assisted in the loss of Estrogen which is what has given your skin its elasticity and kept it hydrated, however since those estrogen levels have diminished, you will begin seeing wrinkles form around your eyes, drooping eyelids and expression lines around the mouth and forehead.Begin using anti-aging or wrinkle reducing formulas such as vitamin A (Retinol) or Glycolic acid products. Retin A has proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin texture, skin tone and color, as well as your skin's hydration levels.Glycolic acid will trigger new formation of collagen to plump cells and reduce wrinkles on the skin’s surface. Postmenopausal women can also use a cream containing progesterone that may improve skin elasticity and firmness.

60 Something
By age 60 all types of collagen are significantly below their youthful levels. There are, however wonderful hydrating creams that contain Alpha Hydroxy acids (Glycolic acids), soy, green tea and retinol (vitamin A) which your skin will need now that it is drier and showing major signs of age. The alpha Hydroxy acids will help reduce droopy skin and the retinol will reduce your fine lines.

60 Plus
Your skin's texture will become visibly less smooth and you will most likely begin to see age spots. You'll appreciate the early care you've given to your skin because the signs of aging will be minimal, however, if you haven't started early you'll clearly notice the effects of neglect. While it's never too late to take care of your skin the damage you already have will be difficult to reduce without special medical treatments such as botox or perhaps surgical procedures. All the above should continue to be applied but it is wise to consult your physician on advanced treatments. If you haven't yet reached 60, the best skin care advice is to follow a good skin care regimen at an early age. It's an easy habit to get into and best of all, you'll thank yourself later on.

Hair Loss - Tips For Success

Billions of dollars will be spent on hair loss solutions this year. Much of this money will go to waste. Ineffective products and misleading advertising are only partially to blame. Many consumers are not using these hair loss products in an effective way. Fortunately there are a few simple ways that consumers can increase their chance of success. Following these guidelines will ensure that your money does not go to waste:

Start a Journal
People usually try several different hair loss products before they find something that works for them. Many use two or more products simultaneously. Keeping track of all this information can be frustrating and difficult. The best way to figure out what is working is to keep a journal detailing your progress. You should record all relevant information about the treatment process: when you started, the dosage, cost, and any side effects you experience. This documentation will tell you which products are effective, which ones are not, and allow you to make changes as you see fit.

Take Pictures
Noticing small changes in your hairline over time is extremely difficult. Taking pictures on a regular basis is the most effective ways to track your progress. Always photograph your head from the same angle, in similar lighting conditions. Use a digital camera for best results, most will automatically record the date and time for you. When combined with a treatment journal, these photos provide an invaluable tool that will allow you to judge the effectiveness of products you use.

Do Your Homework
The Internet is flooded with products claiming to cure and treat hair loss. Finding out which ones are legitimate can be a difficult task. When researching products online, beware of those that sound too good to be true. If the company has before and after pictures, examine them closely. If the images were shot from different angles, or in different lighting, be suspicious. These techniques are common camera tricks used to fool the eye, and the consumer. When a company claims their product has a "98% success rate", look for documentation of their clinical study. If the clinical information they provide is vague, or even missing altogether, be wary.If you follow these steps during your treatment, your chances of success are excellent. One last tip - any successful regimen requires dedication. Whatever the treatment is, carefully follow the instructions from your doctor or the product manufacturer.

For Knees and Elbows

Are your dark knees keeping you from wearing a short dress? Afraid to roll up your sleeves at work? Well don't let dark knees and elbows stop you from flaunting your beautiful body. Here is what you can do. . .

Cause-o-meter
A person with dark elbows and knees might seem unhygienic. But it is wrong to think that before considering the real causes.According to skin expert Aparna Santhanam from Kaya Skin Clinic, there are more causes to dark elbows and knees than just dry skin."Dry skin is just one of the four causes of dark areas. The problem could also be racial or hereditary. Observe if anyone else from the family also has the same problem. Nutritional deficiency, especially of vitamin A, is also responsible for dark knees and elbows."Aparna goes on to add that exposure to the sun can harm skin more than anything else. Since the skin in this area is wrinkled, even though the whole hand is tanned, this area looks darker.

Fight It!
Dark areas can be prevented. Here are a few things to add to your daily beauty care list…
Scrub the darkened area with a body scrub; it makes skin soft and smooth.
Always use sunscreen. Apply it at least 15 minutes before moving out of your house.
Use a pigment lightener; this could be your regular fairness cream.
Eat foods that are high in vitamin A. These include carrots, beetroots, watermelons and pomegranates.
For dry skin, make sure you moisturise regularly. Use petroleum jelly at night as skin tends to get very dry at night. If the skin is very dark, consult a dermatologist who will prescribe a vitamin A supplement. These remedies affect only in the long term and not overnight. If you are looking for some quick fixes, follow these make-up tips…

Hide It!
If you have an occasion or party coming soon, make-up is the next best option! Before you start, make sure you moisturise the area well. The area on the knee and elbow is wrinkled and does not produce much sebum, leaving the skin dry.Always use liquid foundation; it blends in your skin well. Colour of the foundation can be the same or one shade darker than your skin tone but not lighter."The skin from the head to the feet is in several tones so it is best to match the foundation colour to the adjacent arm or thigh. After application the effect is seamless. If the entire leg is much darker than the face then it would look silly to have the knees a different shade. So it is important to match the foundation to the surrounding colour," advises make-up expert Clint Fernandes. The procedure is the same as what you do on your face - apply liquid foundation followed by compact. But avoid layers / packs of foundation as it can leave patches whenever you come in contact with any surface.Always remember, these little flaws should not make you feel less beautiful. Follow a diet that is rich in vitamins and watch your body glow.

Care for Lips

Care for Lips:
A beautiful smile lights up a day. It makes your face more beautiful and lively. Your lips are the most important and exquisitely sensitive part of your body. And therefore you have to take special care of your lips.

Beauty Experts tells you what are the common problems and how to take care of them..............

The common lips problems are:

*Dark Lips
*Cracked lips

1) Dark Lips:

You will be surprised to know that our lips unlike most part of our body do not have any melanin pigment to protect them. Lips are covered on the outside by a thin layer of skin and on the inside by virtually transparent mucous membranes.

Therefore it is necessary to take care of our lips and to eat well-balanced food and lots of fruits.

If you have dark lips you have to do the following………

*Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

* Stop smoking.

* Avoid lipstick.

* Apply a layer of oil and leave it on for several hours. Best apply before going to bed

* Mix coconut oil and almond oil in equal quantity. Apply a coat of this on the lips and leave on overnight. This has to be done daily for at least two weeks for best results.

* Massage lips: Every night with a mixture of 1/2 tsp. Glycerine and 1/2 tsp. Castor oil with 1/2 tsp. Lemon juice and leave overnight.

*Apply cream from curds with saffron on your lips.

2)Cracked Lips:
Lips do not produce oil like our skin, because they have no oil producing glands. The skin on our lips is actually mucous membrane, so for them to remain smooth and chap free is a bit of a challenge. The most common cause of cracked lips are allergic reaction to cosmetics, skin infections, extreme weather conditions like excess sun and wind exposure, biting of the lips or a vitamin B deficiency.

If you have cracked lips you have to do the following………

*Protect the lips from weather by applying heavy plain cream.

*Avoid licking your lips.

*To cure dry chapped lips apply peanut butter or coco butter to your lips before going to bed.

*Grind rose petals with cream on the top of milk and apply on lips to cure the cracked lips

*Take vitamin B, C foods in diet.

*Mix 2 drops of glycerine with 1 tsp of cream on the top of milk and apply to lips to cure the chapped lips and keep overnight to get smooth and shiny lips.

*Mix equal quantities of nutmeg, turmeric, and fresh butter and apply to lips.

*Hot water fomentation, followed by a mixture of Vaseline and honey applied on the lips at least thrice a week will prevent lips from chapping.

*Lips should be moisturized and exfoliated. Exfoliate lips with your gentle facial scrub using a toothbrush or just the tips of

your fingers. You can make a paste using baking soda and water to exfoliate lips as well. Work it for a minute and then rinse with lukewarm water.
General Care for lips

*Apply cold cream or moisturizer or lip balm before applying lipstick.

*To get natural pink lips apply beetroot juice before bed.

*Grind rose petals and apply on lips to get smooth pink lips

*Apply menthol based lip balm and take an old brush and brush gently on lips (don t rub too hard, because lip are very sensitive) to get rid off chapped lips.
